Amal Al Shehhi

Amal Al Shehhi is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN in Abu Dhabi. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the United Arab Emirates University (2000) and a Child Protection Certificate from the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy (2021).She islicensedpsychologistwiththe Department of Health (DoH) in Abu Dhabi.

With over two decades ofclinical experience, Ms. Al Shehhiis skilled inpsychological care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She began her career in 2001 at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) – Behavioral Science Pavilionservingacross multiple departments including inpatient psychiatry, chemical dependency units, adult day centers, and outpatient clinics. Since 2008, she worked in the Child Developmental Clinic, offering assessments and behavioral therapy to children and adolescents.Her experience includes individual, group, family, and play therapy, as well as conducting IQ and psychological assessments using standardized tools such as WISC-IV and verbal/non-verbal scales.Amal has also been involved in supporting patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and has played a key role in community mental health education and support.
