ACPN's Rehabilitation department offers comprehensive, evidence-based therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults. Our multidisciplinary team of Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists work together to support development, restore function, and improve quality of life.
Speech & Language Therapy
Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) assess and treat a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties in children and adolescents. Our team works closely with clients and their families to provide individualized, evidence-based therapy plans that support each child's unique developmental needs.
Speech and language skills include how we understand, use, and express language; as well as how we articulate sounds, use our voice, and interact socially. Difficulties in any of these areas can affect a child's learning, confidence, and ability to connect with others.
Using the latest research-based methods, our SLTs conduct comprehensive evaluations and design engaging, play-based therapy sessions tailored to each child and family. We also collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure skills are practiced and generalized across daily environments.
Our services are offered at our centers, in schools and nurseries, and through teletherapy, ensuring flexibility and support for families throughout the therapeutic process.
Services Offered
Screening
A brief review of a child's communication skills, including speech sounds, understanding and use of language, fluency, and voice. Screening helps determine whether further evaluation or intervention is needed and can be conducted at the center, school, or nursery.
Comprehensive Speech & Language Evaluations
A detailed assessment that identifies a child's strengths and challenges across different communication areas such as speech clarity, comprehension, expression, fluency, and voice. Findings are used to develop a personalized therapy plan.
Speech & Language Intervention
Therapy sessions are individualized and focus on supporting communication development through play, structured learning activities, and family involvement. Goals may target speech sound production, vocabulary building, sentence structure, literacy and listening skills, or social communication.
