Ibtihel Fakraoui

Ms. Ibtihel Fakraoui isOccupational Therapist at ACPN. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the Higher School of Health Science and Technology, Tunisia in 2017. She is licensed as Occupational Therapist in Tunisia and UAE (DHA, DOH).

With six years of experience in occupational therapy, Ms. Fakraoui handled a variety of different neurological and developmental disorders. Upon completing her graduation, she worked as Occupational Therapist under World Health Organization at Universal Hospital until 2020 overseeing both outpatient and inpatient long-term care and rehabilitation for neonatal children, and adults, as well as private clinics dealing with children with multiple disabilities, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism, monitoring of patient progress and carrying out therapeutic assessments. She then joined a pediatric medical center in Oman under the Ministry of Social Affairs where she would work as an occupational therapist for one year. Moving to Abu Dhabi she started her OT career at Stars for Special Abilities Rehabilitation Center for two years until 2022.

Ms. Fakraoui works with children with developmental and physical challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD/ADD, Cerebral Palsy, Brachial Plexus Injury, gross and fine motor delays, handwriting difficulties, executive functioning challenges, sensory processing challenges, and social skill challenges. She is skilled at catering to patients with musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological disorders or injuries, upper extremity traumatic injuries, amputees, spinal, cardiac, and respiratory issues. She is skilled at diagnostic tools and evaluation methods including Sensory Processing Evaluation, the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development, Peabody Developmental Motor Scales Evaluation, Sensory Integration Techniques, and Behavioral Modification (RBT). She works with multidisciplinary teams to meet the patients’ needs.
