ACPN holds 7th Neuroscience Updates Congress in Abu Dhabi
ACPN in collaboration with University of Chicago & American University of
Beirut Medical Center holds 7th Neuroscience Updates Congress in Abu Dhabi. As
a result of the increasing regional need to address mental health and
neurological chronic care in adults and children, the 7th Neuroscience Updates
Congress gathered healthcare experts from the field of psychiatry, neurology,
and psycho-pharmacology to tackle the current hot topics. The conference
covered a broad range of themes from management of chronic conditions such as
schizophrenia, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis as well as other psychological
conditions in children and adults. Updates in psychopharmacological treatment
in various disorders were also discussed to highlight the latest developments
in the field of medicine. Dr. Taoufik Alsaadi, Chief Medical Offer at American
Center for Psychiatry and Neurology, stressed that the global increase in
neurological disorders has significant effects on central and peripheral
nervous systems of the body, causing various psychiatric and neurological
syndromes. He further added that neurological disorders affect children,
adolescents, adults and the elderly in different ways.
