Chantal Abi Charr

Ms.Chantal Abi Charr is a Clinical Psychologist at ACPNAbu Dhabi. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Lebanese University (2017) and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Saint Joseph of Beirut. Her academic training is complemented by specialized certifications in CognitiveBehavioralTherapy (CBT) from the Hospital of the Cross in collaboration with Saint-Ann France, systemic therapy training from the IEFSH in Belgium, and psychoanalytic training at theTabyeenInstitution. She is a licensed psychologist with theDoH, Abu Dhabi.

With over a decade of professional experience, Ms. Abi Charr provided psychological support across hospital, school, and private practice settings. She spent five years working in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services at a major psychiatric hospital in Lebanon, followed by three years at Mediclinic Hospital in Abu Dhabi delivering outpatient mental health care. In addition to her hospital experience, she worked for three years in a school environment, offering psychological assessments for children with learning disabilities and supporting their families. Ms. Abi Charr also managed her own private clinic in Lebanon, working with individuals across various age groups and psychological needs, demonstrating her adaptability and broad clinical expertise.

Ms. Abi Charr specializes in treatinganxiety disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bipolar disorder, trauma and stressor-related disorders, somatic symptom disorders, gender dysphoria, neurocognitive disorders, and personality disorders. She applies evidence-based interventions in treating clients, helping individuals toward their therapeutic goals with compassionate and culturally-sensitive approach.
