About Dr. Manar Alrawaqa
Dr. Manar Al-Rawaqa is a Counseling Psychologist at ACPN Al Ain. She holds a Ph.D., Master’s, and bachelor’s degree in counseling psychology from Yarmouk University in Jordan, with extensive academic and clinical training in mental health. Dr. Al-Rawaqa is a licensed psychologist by the Jordanian Ministry of Health and theDepartment of Health (DoH) in Abu Dhabi.
With over 10 years of experience, Dr. Al-Rawaqa has worked with international humanitarian organizations, including the Danish Refugee Council, Doctors Without Borders (MSF), and the International Medical Corps (IMC). She has provided mental health and psychosocial support services (MHPSS) to diverse populations, including refugees, trauma survivors, and individuals with complex mental health needs. She also led the Mental Health program at SAUDI ARAMCO with main responsibility to develop the Mental Health overall Strategy and Mental Health Assessment Tools for the Industrial Training Department at the ITCs around the kingdom, through structured workshops that she has developed. She trained the staff and apprentices to identify the psychological symptoms and build self-resilience. Her clinical expertise includes treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, and adjustment disorders, while also addressing concerns such as suicidal ideation, stress, sleep difficulties, low self-esteem, poor communication skills and parenting skills. In addition to direct clinical work, she has trained workers in the humanitarian field on Psychological First Aid and developed MHPSS capacity-building for community-based organizations (CBOs).
Dr. Al-Rawaqa is passionate about using Solution Focused Brief Therapy andCognitive Behavioral Therapyapproaches to empower individuals and communities. She believes in the importance of education, collaboration, and culturally sensitive interventions to improve psychological resilience and well-being. As a dedicated mental health professional, she continuously contributes to research, training, and advocacy to improve mental health.
