Iva Vukusic

Ms. IvaVukusicis a Clinical Psychologist at ACPN. She practices individual psychotherapy with adolescents aged above 16, and adults struggling with symptoms spanninganxiety disorders, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, somatoform disorders, grief, stress-related issues, anger issues, interpersonal problems, and existential crises.She adopts an integrative approach that includes talk therapy, a hypnotherapeutic approach to treatment, as well as solution-driven psychotherapy methods.In her eclectic psychotherapeutic practice, sheutilizescreative mental processes, harnesses the supportive power of the community, and honors each client’s unique resources. Ms. Iva is sensitive to cultural idiosyncrasies, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment toaccompanyher clients on their journey of personal growth.

Ms.Vukusichas over 10 years of experience in outpatient mental health services. Her early career started out at the Clinical Hospital Center Rijeka, Croatia. She went on to work at the Teaching Institute of Public Health, Croatia for five years before moving to the UAE in 2019. Her last appointment saw her at Lifeworks Holistic Counseling Center in 2021. Over the years, Ms. Iva was a representative of mental health awareness programs, shedelivered counselling services throughEmployeeAssistance Program in clinical and corporate settings, sheworked with adolescents, adults, families, and couples, providing psychological assessment, counselling, and psychotherapy.

Ms.Vukusicachieved her bachelor’s andmaster’s degree in Psychologyfrom University of Rijeka, Croatia in 2010 and2012respectively. Ms.Vukusiccompleted four years of training in systemic family therapy from the School of Cybernetics and Systems Therapy, a member ofEuropeanFamily Therapy Association (EFTA). Additionally, she completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Level A IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy) training, and training in community-based mental health care by the Croatian Institute of Public Health & theTrimbosInstitute, Netherlands. Ms.Vukusicis a licensed psychologist in Croatia and the UAE.
