Mariam Mouris

Mariam Mouris, M.Sc. (UK), B.Sc. (Hons), MBPsS is a qualified and dedicatedpsychologist at ACPN Dubaiwith extensive experience in the field of mental health. She holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Swansea University, UK. Her academic focus included specializations in affective disorders, trauma, coping with chronic illness, and psychotherapy.

Mariam’s research background has significantly shaped her clinical practice. She has conducted impactful studies on wellbeing, internet addiction, and goal planning in rehabilitation settings, including a thematic analysis of staff and patient experiences at a regional burns unit. Her work has earned her several accolades, including a scholarship award and the Head of Department Outstanding Achievement Award. Additionally, she served as the student representative, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to advancing the field.

With experience in the UK National Health Service (NHS) and governmental hospitals, Mariam has assessed, diagnosed, and treated a wide range of psychological disorders affecting adolescents and adults.
